He was pleased that Jayce had come. The feeling was muted, no longer the bright spark of joy he could recall feeling upon Jayce's arrival before, but it was there. Even the way Jayce looked at him now, grimly determined, hammer hefted in both hands, could not dampen the feeling. Jayce had come.

Neither man spoke. Viktor had wanted them to continue this as partners. As the hammer's arcane energy built, it was clear that Jayce didn't feel the same.
